Winter Essentials

Winter sucks. I mean, sometimes it's pretty, but my skin never agrees with me. My skincare routine has changed drastically since the snow started falling and I, at the moment, don't use any of the products I do the rest of the year. I've been trying out different combinations of skin products all winter and this is the best I came up with:

Shiseido The Skincare Extra Gentle Cleansing Balm
This is the shizz for dry skin. It's super gentle, barely stings when it gets into your eyes and smells nice indeed. It washes away my makeup and doesn't dry out my skin like an ordinary gel does. It doesn't do wonders but it feels nice to not have your skin flaking off your face every time you wash off your makeup :) It's pretty expensive though but I would definitely say it's worth the cash.

Lancôme Bi-Facil eye makeup remover
This is kind of a classic, I received a sample a few weeks ago and decided to give it a fair chance and my opinion is as follows: real damn good. Though you need kind of much and one pad per eye (at least if you're using a lot of eyeliner) it's worth it. It's gentle and non-irritating on my skin. My sample has lasted both me and my mom like a month so buying a full-size soon

Coconut Oil
This one does wonders for probably every part on your body. I have replaced my night cream with this and every morning I wake up fresh as a daisy because of it's healing, antiseptic and moisturizing abilities. This is great on your hair as well, both as an overnight hair mask or just to keep your ends in control. Works on everyone, no matter what skin you have and does a great job a healing zits magically. I just can't praise this enough, plus I've had it for months and not even a sixth of it has been used, this will last me a lifetime for just £10! (Just be careful not to get it on your clothes, I've heard it can leave some nasty stains. I only sleep with it on pillow cases without value and wash them the next day so bacteria won't build up)

Clinique Skin Supplies For Men Age Defense Hydrator SPF 15
Claims to repair damaged skin, which is basically what mine is. It says apply A.M., so I do, and over the last few weeks my skin has been restored I think. My skin feels sometimes a bit greasy using this but the dry patches I've had for months are starting to heal and my skin feels smoother than it used to. The SPF is a big plus, I never used day creams without it anymore!
My dad bought it, used it once or twice and then asked if someone else wanted it. Reason unknown. Grateful though.

Lush Veganese Conditioner (clickety)
Though this might be a bit too light for some people it does wonders with managing static hair as mine always gets in the winter months. Actually my hair won't get static at all if I'm using this and it's such a relief.

Emma S Moisturising Facial Mist
I use this before my moisturiser as a boost since my skin gets so dry it peels itself off. Smells great, feels light and works for every skin type.
